Fertile Ground's sound encompasses the finest ingredients in todays music. Taking
influences from hip hop and r&b to 70's spiritual jazz, combined with Afro/Latin rhythms,
creating an original and funky hybrid unlike any other musical act on the scene today. When
you hear the combination of influences it sounds so natural that it's hard to understand
why this hasn't been done before. A set that bursts with jazz-fuelled soulpower,
revolving around Navasha Daya's silken vocal prowess.
Press/reviews for Fertile Ground 'Perception'
Hot Ticket (London): These are tight, taut angular organic grooves that glow in the dark they're so damn hot. "Has all the markings of a modern classic"
Touch: "It's about time this sublime band got a European release."
Mr. Scruff: "This amazing band embody everything that's great about black music- they mix jazz, hip hop, soul Caribbean. Everyone I've played their album to has run out and bought it."
